As Writing Club's creative director, Jack Wells is nothing short of an ideas machine. He's a multidisciplined writer in the truest sense, moving effortlessly from scripts to slogans to brand language overhauls.

In short, if you need someone at the table who can pull clever thinking out of thin air and then turn it into an unforgettable phrase or knockout paragraph, Jack's your man.

Jack's been throwing down words at Writing Club since 2014 (before that he was at Urban Outfitters, which explains the Hawaiian shirts), and over the last nine years he's worked on clients including Tottenham Hotspur, Eurostar, F1 and Channel 4.

While he's known for his brilliant tone of voice work and his uncanny ability to dial in exactly how a brand should sound, Jack's secret power is in creating killer messaging for food brands. Take a look at some of his work for Pret to whet your appetite.

A lifelong Brighton & Hove Albion FC fan since 2020, Jack's a much better surfer than he'd care to admit—and what he doesn't know about Blackwing pencils isn't worth knowing.
