ARE YOU STARING AT MY MASTHEAD?

Hello, and welcome to this month’s edition of –

Ah, yes, thanks for noticing. Yes, we’ve got a new look. Pretty fresh, no? It’s all change around here. We’re smartening up. Shaking out. Getting fresh.

In this month’s edition, we’ve got shrinking attention spans, surrealist advertising, deep dive reviews and yes, the lowdown on Writing Club’s new makeover.

It’s not a midlife crisis. It’s a change of gear.

Welcome.
ABOUT OUR NEW LOOK
Growing up. Glowing up.

This summer we worked with Make Better Studio to give our website a much-needed makeover. We ended up giving our whole brand a refresh, with a big new look to go with it.

Naturally, the design starts with the words: a headline font that feels bold but not too shouty. Body copy in a typeface inspired by the measured tones of David Attenborough. And lots of hand-crafted bits that make the whole thing feel warm and human.

Our site has just gone live, with new videos, new features, new bios and a whole lot of new colour. Take a look around. And let us know what you think.

WES AND ROALD
Netflix gold

AND FINALLY, FROM THE WRITING CLUB DESKS...
WE'RE ON TRACK
Did you spot us at the Austin Grand Prix?

F1 Academy is an all-female racing series that's giving young women opportunities in all areas of the sport, from driving to engineering.

If you tuned in to the Austin Grand Prix this month, you might have spotted an ad we wrote for the academy whizzing past. It's modelled here by seven-time world champion Sir Lewis Hamilton.

These billboards were all around the track at Austin, in the last race of the season. They said:
F1 ACADEMY. WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED.
