Most people in Britain love a cheeky Nando’s. But not many people know about its history. For example, Nando’s started not in Portugal, but in the Portuguese community of Johannesburg, South Africa, during the apartheid. In fact, they were one of the first SA companies risk speaking out against the regime, and implement an equal opportunities recruitment policy.
