WHO WE ARE
Jack has pushed words all around the world, working as a Senior Writer for agencies in London and Melbourne. He was the Head of Brand Language for Orange, and then went on to manage their advertising team.
He put two years in as a director at Fallon London in 2010, before starting Writing Club with Ed Sowerby in 2014.
Ed started out his working life as a brand manager for Nestle. In 2005, he switched to writing at The Writer, and then became a senior writer at the Figtree.
He went freelance for a bit in 2010, travelling around the world and earning himself a Masters in Environmental Technology. He started Writing Club with Jack Starks in 2014.
Jack the Second started out with a couple of years of marketing Coca-Cola at BD Network, before switching to become the in-house copywriter for Urban Outfitters Europe.
He joined Writing Club as a freelancer in 2015, before joining the club fully in 2016.
Tamara joined Writing Club in 2017 from the Ministry of Sound, where she was writing about music.
She’s also put in stints at MTV, Vice and Noisey magazines.
Jim has been part of the club for a good few years, working with us on all kinds of different projects. He also writes film screenplays. Sometimes they become actual films.
